What if God Trusts You?

I wonder what door the Lord has for you to walk through next. Have you been fumbling through an overcrowded keychain where all those pieces of metal look exactly alike and confusion has entered in? Do you believe there’s only one key that will open that door and God hasn’t given it to you?

Maybe you’ve wanted to move forward in taking care of your health and have several options eating at you. Or perhaps you’re facing which school your child will attend next year…public, charter, or homeschooling?

Personally, I’ve been grappling with choosing website platforms and how to best get the word out for the latest project the Lord has helped me step into. I don’t know about you but the following plea has resonated over and over in my heart.

Lord, I’ll do what you want…JUST TELL ME, please!

What if we were to believe that God has actually been guiding us in our decisions the entire time?

I’m not saying we shouldn’t seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit and even Godly counsel from others when embarking on new territory, but I am wanting to spread a glorious truth the Lord has been speaking to my own heart.

What if God trusts you?

In my own life, I’ve made some monumentally wrong choices causing a new trajectory for my life that I didn’t see coming. In the grace and mercy of God, He used it to bring about a testimony of His unconditional love and taught me several truths about His glorious nature. One realization being—God is Faithful, no matter what.

2 Timothy 2:13 says it short and sweet, “If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot disown himself.”

As that truth was established in my soul, through experience, a lie attempted to wedge its way in with it—I don’t make good decisions. Since I had chosen my own detrimental path that was in direct opposition to God’s Word, how could I be trusted in the future to make good choices?

There’s a great amount of angst that comes with living in such deception. Fear and doubt take up residence, paralyzing decision-making and forward progress. We plea with God to make our choices for us, all the while wondering why He remains silent.

Here’s another truth about God’s nature. He isn’t controlling. Nor does He want to be. He gave us free will from the get-go and desires we live in a place of permission and freedom. Why would we believe He wants it any other way? Dare I say, He trusts you—even if you’ve fallen off His path before?

What if I were to tell you God has a universal key that will open every door as you trust in who He is for you and in who He has made you to be—one who is empowered to choose! God loves to watch you flourish through every decision you make. He is a good Father who is championing you along the way and our saving grace is that He is always Faithful.

The next time you find yourself in a place of indecision, wrestling with the myriad of options set before you, I encourage you to take the next step, even if your legs feel wobbly as you do. Trust yourself as you walk hand-in-hand with a Father who delights fully in trusting you.

“Come now, let us reason together says the LORD: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool” (Isaiah 1:18 ESV).

I love this blog, I am sure He trust in us, the situation here is that we dot trust ourselves, we do not trust that we are making right decisions.

Yes, I thought of that as well but wanted to keep the blog concise. I’m considering doing a Part 2 covering trusting yourself!
