He Restores My Soul

Have you found yourself running around in circles like a chicken with your head cut off? Are you walking around in a fog with fifteen different things on your brain trying to decide which way is even up? Well, then you need to rest and recharge.

Even God rested on the 7th day after creating the entire earth, the land, the seas, and all its creatures. If you don't take time to rest you'll find yourself down and out. God will use that time to get your attention. If you let Him, He'll lead you beside the still waters of His heart and He'll restore your soul. But that's the key.....if you let Him.

He'll meet you where you're at if you meet Him and allow Him to take the reins. My life is so much better since I realized that I couldn't control half the stuff that I was trying to control and stopped doing so. The only thing I can control is my reaction to the world around me. When you give your heart to Jesus there's a comfort and a peace that only He provides. Jesus is my still water. He's my breath and living water. When I walk in His righteousness I walk with my Redeemer and my Restorer. I let Him lead.

With the weekend coming, I'm sure you're thinking about all the errands that need to be run and the chores that need to be done. Do yourself a favor and take 5 minutes out of your weekend and just look up. Take that time to look around and find something to be grateful for and thank God for it. In those few minutes, close your eyes and breathe. Lean into His heart and let Him lead you beside the still waters and restore your soul. It's a beautiful place to be. May God bless you!

"He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake" (Psalm 23:2‭-‬3 ESV).
